My journey with Silken Windhounds began when I found a small, coated sighthound that seemed to be a combination of elegance and athleticism on a little website called tumblr back in the early/mid 2010s. Their joyful energy and natural willingness to please immediately drew me in. A lot has happened since then, and my love for the breed grew into a commitment to breeding and living with these wonderful dogs.
The name “Beloved” reflects both my love for Silken Windhounds and my nickname, Bel. I am also hoping that with the care and dedication poured into these dogs, every puppy from my program goes onto become a beloved family member.
At Beloved, my mission is to raise healthy, well-rounded Silken Windhounds through thoughtful and ethical breeding practices. By emphasizing health and temperament, I am striving to set each puppy up with a strong foundation. Every puppy will receive appropriate health testing, vaccinations, and socialization (such as Puppy Culture and Avidog) before going home to ensure they thrive as wonderful companions, show dogs, or athletes. More about my puppy raising can be found under ‘Litters’ tab above.
My program is more than just breeding puppies. When you welcome a Silken Windhound puppy into your home, you’re joining a community of enthusiasts who share a lot of love and care for this breed. As part of the board member for East Coast Silken Windhounds, I am so grateful that I take part in creating a warm inviting community for anyone new or old to the dog hobby. I am very thankful that through Silkens, I have met some of the best friendships one could ask for.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I’d be happy to help any perspective puppy owners decide if a Silken Windhound is the right fit for them or help find an ethical breeder.
I know I have never regretted choosing this breed.
Warmly, YeJin (Bel) Han
