Fable is the heart of my program. She’s the foundation of my program and the dog that made me fall head over heels for Silken Windhounds. Standing around 18.75″, she’s a bundle of fun and sass.
Fable’s strengths shine in sports. She eagerly takes on every challenge with a happy tail, excelling in a variety of sports. In her first year of coursing in 2024, she finished 8th, ranking as the highest-placed Silken Windhound on the East Coast. We are currently participating in agility, barn hunt, nose work, rally, LGRA, NOTRA, and ASFA. She is very handler focused and eager to please.
Day to day, Fable is a perfect companion. When I flew to Austin,TX to pick her up from an UKC show, she was the cutest little puppy entertaining herself and stealing all the hearts of those around her. From day 1, I was charmed by her sweetness and joy for life. As she has matured more into herself, I am incredibly proud of her soundness in temperament and confidence in new environments. She’s fantastic with my high school students (often assisting me in the studio), gets along wonderfully with my small dog, Moka, and cat, Milk, and is an exceptional off-leash trail dog. Fable is polite with strangers but would live in my skin if she could. Even as I am writing this, she is curled up on my lap, resting her head on my chest. Fable has been my best girl romping around Maryland beaches, hiking snowy Vermont trails, riding New York City subways, picnicking in Boston, and enjoying brunch in Columbus. Fable truly embodies the versatility of the breed.
