Beloved Silken Windhounds

Coco is a new addition to my program. She joined us around 18 months old, making her way from Austin, TX to Philadelphia suburbs. Getting to know her has been an absolute joy. She is a very ‘sticky’ dog, attached to my hips as soon as she realized she is joining our family permanently. Coco is always wedging her head into my hands for cuddles and pets.

Our focus has been learning about different environments, situations, and people. Coco is making great progress and continues to surprise me with her nonchalance towards the chaos of life, definitely outside of what she has known all her life at the Kristull farm. She has the funniest quirks, one of them including groaning like an old man when she gets really comfortable, and has been a fantastic playmate for Fable and the puppies. She is so full of love for people, other dogs, and yummy treats.

Coco has started her health testing, results to be updated into OFA as soon as her Thyroid is complete by the start of September. She attended her first UKC show the 2nd week of August and did an amazing job, receiving a Group 1 from Judge Katherine Short and Best Female from JudgeMarry Happel. I am very much looking foward to her show career – she has beautiful movement and substance that I am in love with.
